Louise & Kristoff’s destination wedding at La Pescaia Resort

There’s something incredibly special about weddings in Tuscany. The light, the pace, the golden evenings that seem to stretch on forever… I’ve been lucky enough to capture several weddings in Tuscany, and it’s always such a joy to return. So when my friend and talented photographer Lewis Membery asked me to join him as a second shooter for Louise and Kristoff’s La Pescaia wedding, I couldn’t have said yes fast enough.

This celebration was everything a Tuscan wedding should be—warm, elegant, intimate, and full of heart.

Welcome drinks under the orchard trees

The night before the wedding, I associate shot their beautiful pre-wedding event at La Pescaia. Louise and Kristoff welcomed their guests with drinks in the grounds of the estate, the evening soundtracked by their friend Alex Vargas playing a live acoustic set as the sun dipped low over the hills.

It was the perfect opening to the weekend—relaxed and deeply personal. After drinks, guests moved beneath the orchard trees for dinner, the long table softly lit by scattered candles and laughter. As the sky turned pink, speeches began, filled with warmth and anticipation for the day to come. We ended the evening with some portraits of Louise and Kristoff in that golden Tuscan light—portraits that felt as effortless and elegant as they are.

Florals for the welcome evening came from Dome Flowers, a delicate prelude to the main event, beautifully setting the tone for the weekend.

A La Pescaia wedding ceremony under the iconic tree

The following day, both Louise and Kristoff got ready on site at La Pescaia, tucked away in separate corners of the estate with close friends and family around them. Louise wore an exquisitely tailored Jesper Høvring gown—understated and impossibly chic—while Kristoff looked sharp in classic Dior.

Their ceremony took place outdoors beneath the iconic tree at the centre of La Pescaia’s courtyard, a space that feels both grand and deeply grounded. With planning and florals by the ever-brilliant Miia Events, the setting felt alive but never overdone—just nature, elegance, and heartfelt vows in the sun.

Aperitifs in the sunshine, dinner under the lights

After the ceremony, guests flowed into the courtyard for a relaxed drinks reception. The light in Tuscany at this hour is unbeatable—soft, golden, full of life—and it gave us the perfect window for some portraits around the estate.

As the sun began to set, everyone made their way across to another side of the estate, where Miia Events had revealed an utterly breathtaking tablescape. One long table, laced with flowers and set beneath a canopy of fairy lights—it looked like something out of a dream, the kind of setting you never want to leave.

Dinner unfolded with delicious courses by Guidilenci Catering and speeches that had the table laughing, crying and everything in between. There’s something about outdoor dinners in Italy—how they stretch into the evening without hurry, without anyone rushing to move things along.

From fairy lights to dance floor

As night fell, the party moved back across the estate to the bar area, where DJ Kaleydo took over and the celebration lifted into another gear. The energy was electric. Guests danced under the stars, and it was one of those dance floors you just know will be remembered long after the music ends.

Being part of this La Pescaia wedding was a real honour. Louise and Kristoff created something that felt true to them—elegant, personal, and full of love. And assisting Lewis Membery in capturing it all was such a privilege.
