Kirtlington Park Summer Black Tie Wedding
A chic black-tie summer wedding at Kirtlington Park
As a Kirtlington Park wedding photographer, returning to this elegant Georgian manor house always feels special. James and Nicole’s sophisticated black-tie summer wedding was a beautifully sunny September celebration, brimming with warmth, joy, and heartfelt moments shared by their closest family and friends.
Getting ready in luxury
James and Nicole began their day in the stunning rooms at Kirtlington Park, surrounded by their closest family. Nicole was radiant, wearing a breathtaking Suzanne Neville gown from Helen Rodrigues, with her hair and makeup perfectly styled by Lara Stokes Bridal. Anticipation and excitement filled the air, setting a perfect tone for their memorable day.
Intimate vows in the Monkey Room
Before their guests arrived, James and Nicole shared an intimate legal ceremony in the charming Monkey Room. This private moment, witnessed only by their nearest family members, was beautifully quiet and heartfelt—a personal prelude to the larger celebrations ahead.
Celebrating in grandeur
The grandeur of Kirtlington Park’s Main Hall provided the ideal backdrop for their celebrant-led ceremony, beautifully conducted by Laura Gimson. Guests watched on as James and Nicole exchanged emotional vows, surrounded by lush floral displays by Fabulous Flowers.
Sunny drinks reception on the lawns
After the ceremony, guests spilled onto Kirtlington Park’s picturesque lawns, basking in the glorious summer sunshine during the drinks reception.
Outdoor speeches and candlelit dinner
In an elegant twist, the speeches were started by Nicoles father outside, with heartfelt and humorous anecdotes shared beneath sunny skies. Following this, guests moved inside for a candlelit dinner at beautifully styled long tables, adorned with candles and exquisite floral arrangements by Fabulous Flowers. The refined stationery designed by Ottie Design perfectly complemented the romantic atmosphere.
Sunset portraits in Kirtlington’s parkland
As the sun began to set, casting golden hues over the grounds, I took James and Nicole away for a few peaceful portraits. Arran Kenny did an amazing job capturing a beautiful video of their day, and we both couldn’t have been happier with the incredible weather to capture their love in the soft evening glow amid Kirtlington’s expansive parklands.
Dancing the night away
The celebrations continued late into the night as James and Nicole danced alongside their guests to the energetic sounds of Boujee Music. Joy, laughter, and incredible music filled the air, ensuring a memorable end to a perfect day. Guests also savored delicious cake slices crafted by Cake Aways, adding a sweet note to the evening.
As a Kirtlington Park wedding photographer, capturing James and Nicole’s stunning summer wedding was such a pleasure. I always love the endless opportunities for photos around the grounds at Kirtlington, perfect for natural, relaxed and editorial wedding photography.
