Summer Caswell House Wedding
Laura & Brandon’s black tie summer wedding at Caswell House
Laura and Brandon’s black tie summer wedding at Caswell House was one of those heart-filling, joy-soaked days that felt both effortlessly elegant and deeply personal. As a Caswell House wedding photographer, I’ve had the pleasure of working at this beautiful Oxfordshire venue many times—and I always love coming back. But this day was extra special, because Laura is not only a close friend, she’s also a fellow wedding photographer.
The first wedding we ever shot together was just after she got engaged to Brandon in Sorrento, so photographing her own wedding felt like such a full-circle moment. And what a wedding it was. It was a joy to capture the day alongside our mutual friend Emily Jayne, who joined me as second photographer, and Bronte from Tinbox Memories who created the most beautiful film of the day.
A sunset start to the celebrations
The celebrations began the evening before the wedding with an intimate dinner for their closest family and friends at Caswell House. It was relaxed, full of warmth and laughter, and gave everyone the chance to settle in and soak up the setting.
We were treated to an absolutely gorgeous golden hour, and I had the chance to capture some relaxed sunset portraits of Laura and Brandon in that dreamy pre-wedding calm. The light was magic—one of those rare summer evenings that feels like a gift.
Wedding morning in the barns and house
On the morning of the wedding, Laura got ready in the barns with her bridesmaids. Andrea Luella styled Laura’s hair into a soft, elegant curls, while Jessica Ava created the most glowing, natural makeup look. Laura wore a stunning Justin Alexander gown from TDR Bridal, paired with Charlotte Mills heels and a delicate hairpiece by Vivi Embellish. Meanwhile, Brandon and his groomsmen got ready in the main house, dressed in timeless tuxedos from Hawes & Curtis.
Outdoor ceremony by the loggia
The ceremony took place outdoors in front of the stone loggia, with gorgeous floral arrangements by Ivory Hill Floral, created by Laura’s talented friend Kamie. A string trio from Chiqas Music provided the soundtrack as Laura walked down the aisle, and the whole setting just glowed in the summer sunshine.
Drinks, live art and portraits in the gardens
After the ceremony, guests spilled out onto the lawn for a relaxed drinks reception catered by the wonderful Ross & Ross. There was a real sense of celebration in the air—champagne flowing, sunshine beaming, and the brilliant Sophie M England sketching live portraits of guests as a keepsake from the day. We took some time for portraits in Caswell’s beautiful gardens while everyone mingled, before heading into the main barn for the reception.
Dinner, speeches and magical moments
The barn looked incredible, styled beautifully by White Fern Weddings. Florals by Ivory Hill continued the soft, romantic palette, and the elegant stationery—menus and signage—were created by Love Flora Studio. Paige n Co created Laura and Brandon’s beutiful invitation suite.
Guests enjoyed a delicious dinner from Ross & Ross, followed by heartfelt speeches. The cake by Perfect Cakes Co was a real showstopper— and even included a little figure of their dog Blue hiding on the cake too.
After dinner, guests wandered back onto the lawn for cocktails and more fun. Fletcher Magic made his way around the guests performing close-up magic, and it was one of those perfect summer evenings where no one wanted to go indoors.
Champagne spray and dancing the night away
Laura changed into a shorter dress to kick off the party properly—comfort and style combined. A spontaneous champagne spray with friends set the tone for the night, and the brilliant House of Chords kept the dance floor packed until the very end.
Looking for a Caswell House wedding photographer?
Earlier in the year, we’d also celebrated Laura and Brandon’s engagement with portraits in the Cotswolds, visiting Lower Slaughter and Broadway Tower—places that feel so connected to their story, you can view their shoot here.
If you’re planning your own celebration in The Cotswolds and are looking for a Caswell House wedding photographer, who knows the venue inside and out—and loves capturing relaxed, elegant days full of emotion—I’d love to hear from you.
