Summer Black Tie Caswell House Wedding

Kate & Tom’s black tie summer wedding at Caswell House

Kate and Tom’s Caswell House wedding was the epitome of relaxed elegance. Set in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside, this beautiful summer celebration had everything—sunshine, joy, and the kind of effortless glamour that suits a black tie wedding perfectly.

I’ve been lucky enough to photograph at Caswell House many times over the years, and it remains one of my absolute favourites. The team is fantastic, the gardens are always immaculate, and the light? Just magic. I was also joined by the lovely Matt from PS Visuals, who created a beautiful film of the day alongside me.

A perfect summer’s morning at Caswell House

Kate and her bridesmaids got ready in the barns, tucked away in the calm before the celebrations began. The atmosphere was full of excitement and laughter, with Olivia Cuffy on makeup and Lauren Gosling on hair, making sure everyone looked amazing. Kate wore a stunning Made With Love gown from The White Collection, with her bridesmaids in chic Pretty Lavish dresses in soft, summery tones.

Tom and the groomsmen looked incredible in classic black tie—sharp, timeless, and perfectly suited to the setting.

An outdoor ceremony in front of the loggia

The weather could not have been better for their outdoor ceremony. With the stone loggia as the backdrop and sunshine pouring in, it felt like something from a dream. Joanna Carter’s floral arrangements added a soft, romantic touch—lush, seasonal blooms in delicate whites and greens.

Garden portraits and drinks on the lawn

After the ceremony, the newlyweds were greeted with hugs, cheers, and glasses of fizz as the drinks reception began. Everyone spilled out onto the lawn, soaking up the sunshine, enjoying the canapés by Ross and Ross, and making the most of that golden summer light.

We took a wander through the gardens for some relaxed portraits—Caswell House offers so many gorgeous little spots, from flower lined paths to the lovely cotswold stone walls.

Dinner, speeches and dancing the night away

As the sun dipped, everyone moved into the main barn for dinner and speeches. The space looked incredible—warm, candlelit, and full of laughter. Rosalind Jenkins created a gorgeous sweetheart cake that fit perfectly with the styling.

After dinner, the band from Live Events Group got everyone on their feet, and the party properly began.

A joy to be back

Every time I return to Caswell House, I’m reminded why it’s such a special place to work. If you’re planning a wedding there and are looking for a Caswell House wedding photographer who knows the venue inside and out—and blends in like a friend—I’d love to hear from you.
