Blenheim Palace Wedding

Rosie and James’ wedding at Blenheim Palace

Rosie and James’ wedding at Blenheim Palace was a beautiful mix of elegance, personal touches, and great energy from start to finish. From getting ready nearby, dogs walking the rings down the aisle, to dancing late into the night in the Orangery—it was a day that felt relaxed, joyful and completely their own.

I was joined by my fabulous friend Jake Burgess who captured a beautiful video of their wedding.

A relaxed start to the day

Rosie and James both got ready in houses just a stones throw from The Blenheim Estate, surrounded by their closest friends and family. Rosie wore a Milla Nova gown from Isabella Grace Bridal, with makeup by Oxford Wedding Hair and Makeup. The morning felt calm, with just the right amount of excitement building before the ceremony.

Church ceremony in Woodstock with their dogs

The ceremony was held at the church in Woodstock, which backs onto the Blenheim estate. One of the most memorable moments was their dog Diego walking the rings down the aisle. A brilliant way to include their special pets in the day, and it made the whole ceremony feel even more personal.

Portraits with the dogs (and a pony) on the estate

After the ceremony, we took some time for portraits around the Blenheim estate. Their dogs Diego, Zeus and Pumba joined us, along with Ronald the pony, who was also part of the family. It was so much fun, and made for some brilliant photos that felt completely true to them.

Drinks on the lawn and live jazz

Guests headed to the main house for drinks on the lawn, with jazz from All the Feels setting the tone. The weather was gorgeous, the drinks flowed, and everyone relaxed into the day. With Blenheim Palace as the backdrop, it’s a space that speaks for itself—no need to overdo it.

Dinner and speeches in the Orangery

Dinner and speeches took place in the Orangery, styled with flowers by The Urban Flower Firm. The room looked incredible. The speeches were equal parts emotional and funny, and gave everyone a chance to pause and take in the day.

Evening light and the start of the party

Before the dancing began, we stepped out for a few more portraits as the light softened. It’s a great time of day for a quiet moment away from the crowd, and Blenheim has plenty of space to make that happen without going far.

The cake, made by The Cake Fairy Sussex, was cut just before the evening kicked off properly. DJ Carl Rushe kept the party going in the Orangery, and the dancefloor was full from the first song.

A modern wedding at Blenheim Palace

Rosie and James brought together everything they loved for their wedding—family, animals, good music, great food, and a venue that made it all feel effortless.

If you’re planning your own celebration and looking for a Blenheim Palace wedding photographer, I’d love to hear what you’re dreaming up. Whether you’re keeping it traditional or making it your own, it’s a space that suits both beautifully.
